Reducing Carbon Emissions in Road Transport

As a company with deep roots in trucking, we recognize that road transport is both essential for trade and a significant source of carbon emissions.

  • Route Optimization with AI: Leveraging data to reduce empty runs, cut fuel use, and minimize idling.
  • Vendor Education: Encouraging our network of market truck vendors to adopt fuel-efficient driving practices.
  • Transition to Cleaner Vehicles Prioritizing partnerships with vendors who operate BS-VI compliant trucks and exploring CNG/LNG and EV trucks for short-haul routes.
  • Load Consolidation Programs: Combining partial loads to reduce the number of trips, thereby lowering fuel consumption.

Sustainable FTWZ Operations

Our Free Trade & Warehousing Zone in Dahej SEZ-1—the first of three planned FTWZ facilities—has been designed with sustainability in mind:

  • Energy-Efficient Lighting: LED-based warehouse and yard lighting systems with motion sensors
  • Solar Energy Integration: Rooftop solar panels planned for phased rollout to power administrative offices and warehouse operations.
  • Rainwater Harvesting: Capturing and reusing rainwater for sanitation, cleaning, and landscaping.
  • Low-Emission Material Handling Equipment: Introducing electric forklifts and pallet trucks to reduce indoor emissions.
  • Waste Segregation & Recycling: Structured waste management systems for general, hazardous, and recyclable waste streams.
